Easley sits on US-123 between Greenville and Clemson, which is the whole argument for it: Pickens County pricing with a Greenville commute inside half an hour and Clemson about the same in the other direction.
It functions as a town rather than a bedroom suburb — there is a real downtown, and the Doodle Trail runs from it out toward Pickens on the old rail bed. The housing ranges from mill-era stock through 1970s ranch neighborhoods to new construction along the 123 corridor, and the gap between new and resale is narrower here than it is in Greenville County.
